Moreel probleem: situaties waarin je een moreel oordeel moet vellen over wat je moet doen.
Twee soorten:
1. Cognitieve morele problemen: situaties waarin het niet evident is wat het moreel juiste is om te doen
2. Wilsproblemen: situaties waarin het niet moeilijk is om te bepalen wat je moet doen, maar waarin het wel
moeilijk is om het juiste te doen.
Motivaties en redenen.
Motivatie: hetgeen je beweegt te doen wat je doet.
Reden: hetgeen je zou moeten bewegen om iets te doen.
Belangrijke verschillen:
- Redenen kunnen er zijn zonder dat je het weet of dat je het
door hebt.
- Redenen kunnen je koud laten maar zouden je, per definitie,
niet koud moeten laten.
