Processing is bewerken. Er komt een informatie overload binnen die de bewerker moet
onderverdelen in hoofd- en bijzaken. De analist kijkt verder naar de informatie en kijkt naar
wat de afnemer wil weten.
Julius Caesar-> eerste nationale intelligence systeem (toch was het een systeem van een
individu), zijn zoon Caesar Augustus erfde het systeem en breidde het uit, over het hele rijk.
Door toename van social media is het vergelijken van bronnen belangrijker geworden,
daarna moeten ze geïnterpreteerd worden aan de hand van 4 basisvragen:
- Is het waar?
- Wie is het?
- Wat is het aan het doen?
- Wat betekent het?
Disseminatie-> verspreiding (inlichtingen naar de baas brengen).
