Introduction
Hypersensitivity reactions are overstated or inappropriate immune responses to an
allergen or antigen (Vaillant et al., 2021). To accurately diagnose and treat diseases,
advanced practitioners must identify indications and symptoms that signal imbalances in the
body's homeostasis. This paper discusses the pathophysiology and adaptive responses and
explains the process of immunosuppression.
Why the patient presented the described symptoms
Based on the patient's primary grievance and the symptoms and signs, a practitioner
can conclude that it is Cellulitis. The patient's right calf was red; he had a fever of 100.6 °F,
chills, and a swollen leg. According to Rrapi et al. (2021), there are many different bacterial
skin infections, but Cellulitis is one of the most prevalent. Skin that is inflamed and red seems
bloated and hot to the touch. It is most common on the feet and ankles if one has Cellulitis,
although it can spread to other body parts. The skin becomes infected when bacteria enter
through a small hole or crack into the skin. Lymphatic vessels and bloodstream infections can
quickly become life-threatening if left untreated (Rrapi et al., 2021). A point to note is that
once a Cellulitis infection damages the lymphatics, the patient is then predisposed to future
attacks in the same area. The patient had a cut, used a yard hose to clean the wound, and then
covered it with a Band-Aid. The patient used garden hose water to clean the wound and then
bandaged it without cleaning the wound thoroughly, which resulted in Cellulitis.
Genes that may be associated with the development of the disease
When bacteria enter the body and become infected, it causes a skin infection known
as Cellulitis. Group A strep (streptococcal) bacteria are the most common cause. The wound
healing process is dependent on genetic makeup. Multi-cellular organisms can respond to
