9.3.7 Geneesmiddelen bij hoest
Als hoesten een symptoom van ergere onderliggende stoornis is: eerst die aanpakken, dan hoest
onderdrukken.
Door bij chronische bronchitis hoestonderdrukkers verlichting te laten bieden, kan meer sputum in de
longen achterblijven --> groter risico op infecties.

Droge of pijnlijke hoest: codeïne en noscapine.
