Circulatiestilstand
Wat is het? Wat is de oorzaak?
De bloedsomloop is tot een stilstand gekomen. Het bloed wordt niet meer rondgepompt. Oorzaken
zijn: een hartinfarct, hartritmestoornissen, verstikking of verdrinking.
Wanneer treedt het op?
Wanneer iemand problemen aan het hart heeft, zich verstikt of verdrinkt.
Wie krijgt het?
Risicofactoren voor een circulatiestilstand zijn: overgewicht, roken, hoge bloeddruk, diabetes, hoog
cholesterol, diabetes, inactieve leefstijl, erfelijkheid, veel alcoholgebruik en een hogere leeftijd.
Hoe herken je het?
Voordat iemand bewusteloos wordt kun je dit herkennen met: zwakheid, vermoeidheid,
kortademigheid, duizeligheid, hartkloppingen, pijn op de borst.
Als iemand bewusteloos is kun je dit herkennen door geen pols/ademhaling en een slap lichaam.
Welke observaties verwacht je in de ABCDE?
A: Luchtweg niet vrij door positie van het lichaam. Misschien nog eten in de mond.
B: Geen of afwijkende ademhaling.
C: Geen pols. Grauwe kleur.
D: Bewusteloos, geen pupilreactie.
E: Geen bijzonderheden aan lichaam verder.
Welk aanvullend onderzoek kan je als verpleegkundige doen om je werkdiagnose aannemelijk te
maken?
Ademhaling en pols controleren. Vragen wat er is gebeurd aan omstanders.
Wat kan je als verpleegkundige op dat moment doen volgens de ABCDE? Wat kan je nog meer doen?
Maak een plan van aanpak!
A: Luchtweg vrijmaken door middel van de jaw trust. Mond leegmaken.
B: Ademhaling controleren. Start reanimatie, wanneer geen ademhaling. Hierna:
C: Controleren huidkleur, temperatuur, pols, capillaire refill, bloeddruk. IV prikken en vullen.
Bloedafname.
D: EMV-score, pupilreactie, bloedglucose.
E: Volledig lichaam controleren.
