Hoofdstuk 21Een use case is een verzameling gedetailleerde requirements die
samen een logisch geheel vormen van opeenvolgende acties die
leiden tot een resultaat dat waarde heeft voor de primaire actor.
Een actor is de rol die iets of iemand vervult als hij interacteert met het
systeem. Een primaire actor is een actor die waarde hecht aan het
resultaat van een use case.
Use case model
Geeft aan uit welke use cases het systeem bestaat en met welke actoren
het systeem interactie heeft. Bestaat uit een of meerde UML use case
diagrammen.
Granulariteit
Use cases worden soms te groot maar meestal te klein gedefinieerd.
Beschrijft geen probleem, maar de behoefte aan geautomatiseerde
ondersteuning. Om behoefte te begrijpen is synthese vereist.
De granulariteit is gelijk aan die van een processtap. Systeem met
gemiddelde omvang heeft tussen de twintig en vijftig use cases.
Use case model met te kleine use cases bevat vaak onevenredigheden
zogeheten CRUD use cases. Deze beginnen met Create, Read, Update of
Delete.
