Hello
My name is Dr. Aimee Kirkendol and I’m originally from
Knoxville, TN but relocated to Bend, Oregon four years ago. I
am married to my best friend, Todd and we have two great
children (Katie age 8, Ty age 5). I can’t forget our other
children, “Beau” our chocolate lab and “Brother Love” our
kitty.
My nursing experience began almost 20 years ago when I
became a Licensed Practical Nurse and discovered my
professional calling in life. I continued my education and
gained one degree at a time starting with my Associates
Degree in Nursing and ending with my Doctor of Nursing
Practice degree. I am a first generation college student and
feel that the nursing profession set me on a course that not
only changed my life but will positively change the lives of my
children as well.
I have done almost all kinds of nursing over the years,
ranging from medical surgical floor nursing, home health,
clinic, orthopedic surgery, Nurse Education in the University
and Community college settings and now practice as a Nurse
Practitioner in a school based clinic system. As a nurse
, educator, I feel it is a great responsibility to not only provide
quality education but instill the passion in my students that I
feel truly makes a great nurse.
