Beginnen meestal in adolescentie of jonge-volwassenheid.
Anorexia Nervosa
Meestal bij meisjes en zelden bij jongens. DSM 4:
Weigering om eht lichaamsgewicht op of boven de ondergrens van eht voor
de leeftijd en lengte normale lichaamsgewicht te houden.
Sterke angst voor gewichtstoename of om dik te worden, zelfs in het geval van
ondergewicht .
Stoornis in de manier waarop het gewicht of de vorm van eht lichaam ervaren
wordt; overmatige invloed van het gewicht of de vorm van het lichaam op de
beoordeling van zichzelf of ontkennign van de ersnt van het huidige lage
lichaamgewicht.
Bij vrouwen van de menarche, amenorrhoe ds.z het uiblijven van drie
achtereenvolgende mensturele cycli.
Kernsymptoom: doelgerichte gewichtsverlies. Extreme angst om dik te zijn. Patiënten
met anorexia nervosa hebben een gestoord lichaamsbeeld. Daarnaast zijn de
volgende kenmerken van belang:
Lichamelijke kenmerken
o Droge huid, haarverlies, dalendelicahmstemperatuur, etc.
Psychologische kenmerken
o Andere psychiatrische stoornis (bv. Depressie)
o Dwangmatige persoonlijkheidstrekken
o Hoog prestatiesniveau
o Waardeloosheid
Gezinskenmerken
o Hechte gezinnen met zwakke grenzen tussen gezinsleden en met
ongezonde coaliteit.
o Kindgericht en overprotectief
Restricitve / pure type: uitblijven van eten en toenemen lichaamsbeweging.
Binge etaing/ purging : zelfopgewekt braken en.of het gebruik van laxantia of
diurectica.
Boulimia Nervosa
Boulimie ( Grieks voor honger als een rund) , of vreetbuien, als symptoom kan
voorkomen (1) als min of meer normaal verschijnsel, (2) in samenhang met
psychopathologie die niet een primaire eetstoornis is ( reactie op stress bv.) , en (3)
ten gevolge van organische, vaak neurologische pathologie.
Een regelmatig voorkomend controleverlies over het eetgedrag, dat uitmondt in
frequente vreetbuien en een gestoord eetpatroon.
De stoornis noemt men Boulimie.
