Meervouden op -en, -n en –‘en
- Meeste woorden hebben een meervoud op -en.
- Als een woord eindigt op een -s of een -f veranderen die in het meervoud in een z
en een v.
- Woorden die eindigen op -ie, hebben een meervoud op -ën als de klemtoon op de
ie valt, maar als de klemtoon op een andere klank valt dan hebben ze een meervoud
op -n.
- Woorden die eindigen op -ee, schrijf je in het meervoud met -eeën.
- Woorden die eindigen op -s of -x hebben ook een meervoud op -en, behalve de
letters of afkortingen op -s of -x krijgen in het meervoud een apostrof: -‘en. (box
- boxen, gps - gps’en)

- Engelse en Franse leenwoorden die niet eindigen op -s of -x eindigen in het
meervoud op -s .
- Als een woord eindigt op -a, -i, -o, -u, -y dan krijgt het meervoud een apostrof: -‘s.
- Letters, en afkortingen die niet eindigen op een -s of -x krijgen in het meervoud –‘s.
