In die eerste twee strofes word ‘n storm op die see beskryf
Kreun = groan - grom
Klag = complain - kla
Nood = emergency/need - in ‘n ernstige geval
Dwalend = roaming - rondlopend
Klagend = complaining - kla sonder ophou
Smag = year/long for - wens voor
STROFE 3:
In hierdie strofe - beskryf die spreker die huis binne-in.
Daar is dowwe lig in die huis, dit is veilig, warm en dig
Loei = sound of the wind - geluid van die wind
Ruite = windows - vensters
STROFE 4:
Hy spreek nou die natuurelemente aan.
Hy is nie meer bang vir die storm nie. Sy huis is veilig, want dit staan op ‘n rots.
