, Unit 1 Assignment 3
My name is.......... and I'm continuing my work at my local council's economic development
unit. To explore apple's usage of business and innovation, I've been requested to do some
research and give a presentation and a personal reflection. For my research, I'll examine the
role of innovation and enterprise in the development of the apple industry, along with the
potential benefits as well. This research will help me develop a presentation that discusses
how innovation and enterprise have related to apple's success.
Business success of innovation and risks
Apple uses innovation and enterprise throughout their company to exploit gaps within the
market and maintain a global leader, this is evident within my presentation. For example,
apple has made many improvements to their products throughout the years, ranging from
the aesthetics of the product to the software in which it runs on. Apple not only release new
products that the market haven't seen before such as the Apple Watch, but the company
also improve the products that are already existing. For instance, the iPhone 12 is a much-
improved generation of product in comparison to the first iPhone. The market is always
evolving, and the need for products is undoubtedly on the rise. As a result of Apple's
continual improvement of the same product, they are able to adapt to changes in client
demand and tastes. company has no idea what the outcome of a new product will be
because it has never been seen before. As a result, Apple is able to stay updated of market
changes by constantly improving their iPhones and adapting quickly to meet client needs.
Around $1.23 billion in revenue was reported by MoneyNation for the first iPhone,
according to the website. however, Apple's iPhone 12 generated the most sales and profit
in the company's history, amounting to approximately $28.8 billion in profits, thanks to its
innovative strtegy
With the innovation of apple products in mind, the apple products have various distinctive
features that are constantly being changed on the products; these range from the
applications on the product to the camera quality when taking a photo. All of these features
that apple improve are vital for the growth and stability of the company as these are the
main features that customers look for when purchasing a product. As an example of
applications that make apple distinct is their app store, iPhone and iPod users may now
access every form of program through the App Store, which is the perfect addition to an
Apple device. Users can upgrade their iPhone through the App Store, which provides both
paid and free applications. Unlike its competitors, no other company has an app store
comparable to Apple's, which makes it unique. With apple constantly making changes to the
appstore, it keeps up with the changes and preferences of customers. With that in mind, the
App Store produced £300 million in purchases in 2018. As coronavirus caused a national
lockdown, people where only allowed out if they wanted to exercise. This then caused a rise
in people downloading fitness applications on their phones and taking for care in their
health. With this in mind, apple had to constantly update and improve their Appstore to
enable users to download fitness apps on their phones.
