PROGNOSE TOT 2100
- 1999 – 2022: 7,9 miljard
- Rechts: prognoses hoe het verder zal verlopen via medium variant
protection -> tegen 2025 komt er nog een miljard bij (wel ietsje trager). In
2040 nog iets trager.
PROGNOSE MET 4 SCENARIO’S
- Rood: groei blijft verder gaan zoals we nu gezien hebben → tegen 2100
zitten we aan 27-28 miljard mensen → onwaarsschijnlijk, planeet kan dit
niet aan
- Licht blauw: VN stelt voorop dat medium fertility scenario zal zijn → dan
zou er een lichte stijging zijn en populatie zal stagneren tegen 2100 met
10,8 miljard.
- Donker blauw: beter scenario → eerst piek in bevolkingsaantal tegen 2050
rond 8 miljard en daarna terug een afname in bevolkingsaantal. Hangt af
hoeveel kinderen per vrouw bijkomen
