Planning and Marketing a Social EventIntroduction
This is assignment I will be evaluating the planning and marketing need for this event. The
event I have chosen for this assignment is the UEFA world cup and the 2012 London Olympics. I
will need to need to investigate the staging of several events to determine common success
factors. This report will include if these events are successful or not. Not only this report will
also include the key factor of this event when planning such as a contingency plan, risk
assessment etc. I will also have to consider if this plan is feasible of the vent proposal .
Investigation The Two Event
For the first event the organizer will need research where they can perform this event. The
organizer will have to reach out to multiple people to find the perfect space to hold this event.
To make I find the perfect area I will need to consider if the location is big enough all the people
who come. I will also need to consider that I stay within the budget and get the best deal
possible. The event organizer will need to contact people who do hold these events to help the
event manager. Likewise, by arranging the dates upon which event will indeed be held the
expertise the event organizer would acquire. Furthermore, he must require to be adept at
resolving issues on the scene in the circumstance that a last-minute issue occurs, which they
, would need to resolve quickly to continue with the activity. Also, for this event security will
need to be provided. This I because a considerable number for visitors will be coming to this
event from all over the word. This makes it necessary to make sure everyone stays safe and
prevent any issues. To make sure this event is successful and enjoyable, the transport will also
need to be arranged. Extra transportation may be required as visitors around the world will be
coming to London and will need transportation to travel around London. This will make it easier
for the visitors as it will prevent long ques at bus stations and underground train.
For the second event I have chosen the World Cup. Throughout this case, the event organizer
must have to perform tasks such as locating a venue which will need to able a football stadium.
Another takes identifying the teams that will compete in the World Cup and locating caterers
that will provide various meals for the spectators at halftime. The evet organizers will need to
identify beforehand hand which teams will be playing in the world cup. This will allow the event
organizer to set the time dates for the when the teams will be playing. The event organizer will
need to rent the stadium on the right date and times making sure everything is right. The event
organizer will also need to make sure they the best deals on the stadium making sure not go
over budget. Another important skill the event manager will need to require is communication
skills. The event organizer will need communicate with their team making sure the team is
doing what they are told as the event organizer will not be able to complete all the task them
self for this big event.
Explanation of the proposed event
My scheduled event is a mafia murders virtual event. For this event, the class will be working
together in teams of 4-5 people to unsolved the mystery and find the murderer. The teams will
be given three clue all together to help them unsolved the evidence packs which they will be
given. Each evidence pack will help them cross a suspect of from the suspect list. The first team
to finish the evidence packs and can identify the murdered will win. The reason this event was
chosen is because this event is appropriate for the class. This is due to the corona virus which
leads to a perfect virtual event. For the students to participate in this event, the students will
need to have a computer and internet connection to communicate with their teams. Not only is
event being also within the Bolton six form collages budget. The budget for this event was
around £200 and altogether the event costed £150. This was perfect as the event was low then
the budget which was originally set.
Factors that need to be considered
A key factor which needs to be considered is sending out the invites. This task is very essential
because the the teacher will need to know which students will be coming to the event. Also the
the students will need to know if they are invited to the event. By knowing which student will
be attending this event, the teacher can start to make the risk assessment and the register. The
date and time are a duty that must be considered. This, I consider, is a critical component since
