3. veel verzet geestelijke en kerk maar ook acceptatie
4. in 17e eeuw: vooral gedaan ter ondersteuning van god.

Oplossing:
- meerdere waarnemers
- falsificatie = geef aan in welke gevallen de conclusie niet klopt.
vb. alle duiven zijn zwart tenzij een duif van een andere kleur wordt gezien.
