Verscholen in een bos bij het West-Vlaamse dorp Vladslo, in de
van Ieper, ligt een begraafplaats. Meer dan 25.000 Duitse solda

tijdens de WOI (1914-1918). Zo ook Peter Kollwitz, zoon van Du

aangemeld bij het leger om te gaan vechten tegen Frankrijk en
Engeland. Al op zijn 1e dag werd hij doodgeschoten. Zijn moede
ontroostbaar en wilde een herdenkingsmonument voor hem m
