, Essay about a tragedy a girl has experienced during her holiday in Cape town.

Ons is op 'n vlug(flight) na Kaapstad. Die vliegtuie (airplane) hou( caries) 300 mense;. die
lughawe(airport)was baie besig, maar ons kon(managed) 'n motor huur(hire) wat ons kon gebruik om
die stad te verken(explore)}
{ons was veronderstel(supposed to) om na Kaapstad te gaan, maar ons reis is gekanselleer weens( due
to) covid.}
Dit was die somervakansie en ons gaan uiteindelik(finally) Kaap toe. niemand in my gesin was
voorheen(before) daar nie, so ons was almal baie opgewonde.
Ons het die huis verlaat toe die son opkom(come out) en het net(only) op die volgende dag (first) in die
stad aangekom(arrived). die stad se strate was besig en mense het in en uit geboue gegaan. daar was
selfs 'n groot karnaval net buite die middestad.
Ons was almal uitgeput van die lang dag van reis maar my pa het daarop aangedring(insisted) om
Tafelberg te sien. hy het gesê dat die son op die perfekte punt was vir wonderlike beskou(view).
Ons het nog twintig minute gery, maar dit was die moeite werd(worth it) toe ons die berg sien. die lug
was goud en die berg was so groot soos n reuse.
Ons was almal betower deur die berg. ons het dit nie gesien kom nie, my pa het geskree an almal het
gekyk as hy het probeer om uit die pad van 'n aankomende(oncoming) vragmotor(truck) te stuur. Die
vragmotor het die agterkant van ons se motor getref(hit). ons draai oor die pad en in 'n gebou langs die
pad.
Mense het geskree en gehaas(rush) om ons te help. my oë was stekkende en bloed het op die vloer
gedrup toe hulle my optel. net toe hulle my uittrek, ontplof(explodes) die motor.
Ek het om my gekyk om na my gesin te soek. my pa was langs my, my broer was aan die ander kant,
maar my ma was nêrens te vinde nie. net toe flou(fainted) ek.
Toe ek wakker word, was ek in 'n hospitaalbed met my gesin oral om my. ek was verlig9relieved) dat
almal veilig was, maar ek sou beslis nie weer in Kaapstad gaan kuier nie.
