Audit:
Wat? Systematisch onderzoek v/d procedures en de werkwijzen met de bedoeling na te gaan of
de organisatie voldoet aan wat intern en extern van haar gevraagd wordt
Doel? De werking v/d onderneming verbeteren en sneller aanpassen aan vernieuwingen
Uitgevoerd door? De onderneming zelf (intern) of gespecialiseerde firma (extern)
2. Wat is een sociaal-ethische audit?
Sociaal-ethische audit: je kunt nagaan of een onderneming de doelstellingen uit het waardecharter
daadwerkelijk bereikt
3. Welke items kunnen worden onderzocht in een
sociaal-ethische audit?
3.1. Intern sociaal beleid
Wat doet de onderneming haar relatie met de werknemers te verbeteren? Onder meer de kwaliteit
v/d arbeid, arbeidsinhoud, arbeidsvoorwaarden en -omstandigheden en arbeidsverhoudingen komen
aan bod.
3.2. Milieubeleid
Er wordt nagegaan of er binnen de onderneming initiatieven worden georganiseerd om ecologische
overlast te vermijden in de productieketen. Ook het milieuzorgsysteem wordt geëvalueerd.
3.3. Maatschappelijk beleid tegenover stakeholders
Er wordt nagegaan hoe de relatie is tussen de onderneming en haar ruimere omgeving. Het
maatschappelijk beleid tegenover stakeholders omvat het beleid t.o.v. mensenrechten en
ontwikkelingssamenwerking. Ook technologieën of praktijken die maatschappelijk ter discussie staan
en die niet te rijmen zijn met een duurzame samenleving worden onderzocht, zoals wapenhandel of
kernenergie.
3.4. Ethisch-economisch beleid
Een onderneming moet een toekomstgericht beleid voeren door open te staan voor vernieuwing en
technologische ontwikkeling. Ook moet ze de aangegane verplichtingen tegenover haar stakeholders
naleven: schulden betalen aan leveranciers, correct leveren aan de klanten, belastingen en bijdragen
voor sociale zekerheid betalen aan de overheid… Door de belangen v/d stakeholders te respecteren
kan ze met hen een langdurige relatie opbouwen.
