Opdracht 44.1 Fases van gedragsverandering
Mensen doorlopen voorafgaand en gedurende de uitvoering van gedragsverandering verschillende
motivationele fases. Het is belangrijk dat verpleegkundige deze stadia herkennen en hier op inspelen
of zich hierop aanpassen (Sassen, 2018, par. 5.11).
Een model dat de verschillende motivationele fases van gedragsverandering weergeeft is het
transtheoretisch model van Prochaska. Het transtheoretisch model maakt inzichtelijk dat mensen bij
aanvang van een interventie in verschillende fasen van gedragsverandering zitten. De verschillende
fases lopen van geen intentie om het gedrag te veranderen via gedragsverandering tot aan
gedragsbehoud. Vaak zijn mensen voorafgaand aan het contact met een verpleegkundige nog niet
bereid tot gedragsverandering. Mocht iemand bereid zijn om zijn gezondheidsgedrag te veranderen
doorloopt hij vijf verschillende fases; precontemplatie, contemplatie, preparatie, actie en
consolidatie (Sassen, 2018, par. 5.11). In tabel 6 worden de verschillende fases van
gedragsverandering van de geïnterviewde weergegeven.
