Bij deze ontwikkeling is de pleuropericardiale plooi betrokken voor de vorming van de holtes
in de thorax. In het hartzakje zit ook een laagje bindweefsel en natuurlijk de twee pleura.
Welke veranderingen vinden plaats?
De laterale lichaamswand gaat twee lichaamsplooien vormen richting mediaan. Dit is de
pleuropericardiale plooi. De twee plooien fuseren uiteindelijk met elkaar waardoor de
longen in een afzonderlijke ruimte zitten en het hart ook. Hierbij ontstaat ook het
mediastinum. Door de groei van de longen wordt de holte van de longen groter en die van
het hart kleiner, waardoor de pleura en de lamina om het hart heen komt.
Uit welke lagen bestaat het hartzakje uiteindelijk?
Het hartzakje bestaat uiteindelijk uit drie verschillende lagen. De eerste laag is de pleura
parietalis wat de buitenste laag is van de pleura om de longen heen. De tweede laag is het
pericardium fibrosum wat een laagje bindweefsel is om het hart heen, wat zorgt voor
stevigheid en voor het behouden van de plaats. De derde laag is de lamina parietalis wat het
hart omgeeft
