how she reacts to it. Tris is divergent, she comes from abnegation and has transitioned to
dauntless. She wants to abolish the faction system. She belongs to the resistance.

saying / doing in the book.
Tris is my favourite character, because she is very brave and will do anything to beat Jeanine.
Even if it costs her own life, together with Tobias she is a very good team. they finally manage to
beat Jeanine.

She loses her father and mother, despite that she continues. Her own brother betrays her yet she
manages to save and control herself. But she had also a moment that when every day three
people would die because she didn’t reported herself that she wanted to die. Because she
believes that she is a problem for the society, she reports herself to Jeanine but escapes later.
5 Conflict: What is the most important emotional conflict that the main character becomes
involved in? How does the writer end the conflict? Explain.
The moment that Tobias thinks that she died and he became very mad and sad. But then she
wake up and they are both very relieved and happy to see each other.

reader?
The book has an open ending, because they are told that this has been an experiment and that
amity have to open the borders of the city and they must join the population. After that moment
is very chaotic in the city. That’s the end of the book. Its an open ending because the reader don’t
know how how it goes with tris and the people in the city of the experiment.
