LES 7 - 19/11/2021Dandyisme= man die zich eleganter/vrouwelijker gaat kleden. Ze werden gepercipieerd
als verwijfd.
Vrouwen werden als minderwaardig gezien, niet goed genoeg om mee te participeren
aan de maatschappij. Daarom is deze toeeigening van mannen die vrouwelijke kledij of
kenmerken dragen een fundering voor de opkomende emancipatie.
Een ander voorbeeld is dat mannen omwille van hun seksualiteit in een bepaalde outfit
werden gestoken en hierdoor werden afgerekend.
Een ander voorbeeld is het verhaal van Marsha P. Johnson die beweging brengt in de
emancipatie van homoseksuelen, transpersonen, vrouwen. Mensen verloren hun
huizen, jobs, familie door uit te komen voor hun identiteit. Er is een hele mobilisatie
teweeg gebracht door het incident in de bar in Christopher Street met Marsha P.
Johnson.
Na deze emancipatiestrijd zien we twee interessante bewegingen. Enerzijds werden
alle extreem mannelijke kenmerken geaccentueerd door de kledij. Dit noemt met
machochismo. Gespierd, strakke kledij.
Bv. Freddy Mercury speelt heel sterk in op deze stereotypen, een homoerotisch beeld
werd gecreeerd in deze tijd.
Anderzijds hebben we ook mannen die zich extreem vrouwelijk gaan kleden.
Er zijn heel wat vestimentaire stereotypen die gelinkt worden met homoseksualiteit.
