Poem at a glance :
~Abou Ben Adhem wakes up from his dream and sees an angel writing
something in a golden book.
~Abou dares to ask the angel what he is writing.
~The angel tells him he is making a list of people who love God.
~Abou requests him to add his name in the list who loves his/her fellow

Summary :
Abou Ben Adhem is a poem dealing with a small boy's interaction with an angel
who is writing down the names of the people who love god. Abou wakes up at
night and finds the angel writing and Abou requests the angel to write his name
in the list of people who loves his fellow human beings. The angel vanishes after
that and when the angel arrives the next day, Abou finds his name on the top of
the list.

Justification of the title :
Abou Ben Adhem" is a simple but powerful poem of Leigh Hunt where the poet
provides a message to his readers that loving one's fellow beings is the greatest
form of worshipping God. The small boy Abou's experience with the angel makes
us aware that God wants us to love our fellow human beings the most. Therefore
the title of the poem is justified as it represents the small boy Abou Ben Adhem's
experience.
