Manufacture of ethyl ethanoate
Introduction
In this assignment we are going to make and manufacture and purify ethyl ethanoate (ester)
using Ethanol and ethanoic acid under acidic conditions using the manufacturing techniques
reflux and distillation. Also, we are using small amount of sulphuric acid (H 2SO4) that acts as
catalyst which make the reaction goes faster. At the end we separated the product using
distillation and to check its purity we did check the boiling point.
