Volwassen mens heeft 5 á 6 liter bloed. Bloed bestaat voor 55 procent uit vloeistof (bloedplasma) en
45 procent uit rode bloedcellen, witte bloedcellen en bloedplaatjes.
Bloedplasma
- 7 % plasma eiwitten
- 91 % water
- 2 % opgeloste stoffen (Fibrinogeen, zouten)
Bloedplasma vervoert (beetje) zuurstof, voedingsstoffen, co2 en avalstoffen.
Rode bloedcellen worden gemaakt in het beenmerg. Per mm3 5 000 000 rode bloedcellen. Ze
vervoeren zuurstof, dat komt door de hemoglobine.
Witte bloedcellen hebben een celkern en maken ziekteverwekkers onschadelijk. Per mm3 7000 witte
bloedcellen.
Bloedplaatjes zijn delen van uiteengevallen celkernen. Ze helpen stollen op wondjes. Dit kan ook in
een bloedvat gebeuren dit heet trombose of bloedprop. Per mm3 300 000 bloedplaatjes

Bloedvatenstelsel = het hart en de bloedvaten. De route diehet bloed aflegt noemen we de
bloedsomloop.
Gesloten bloedsomloop = het overgrote deel bloed dat in de bloedvaten loopt.
De rechterharthelft en de linkerharthelft. De kleine bloedsomloop, de rechterhelft van het hart
pompt het nar de linker en de rechterlong. Vanuit de kleine bloedsomloop komt het in de grote
bloedsomloop terecht die het bloed weer naar de organen brengt. Daarna gaat het weer terug naar
de rechterhelft

Het hart ligt in de borstholte iets aan
de linke onderkant van het borstbeen.
Het hart heeft de grote van een vuist
en is een grote holle spier.

zuurstof
Kransaders --> bloed, rijk aan co2 en
avalstoffen
Het zuurstof arme bloed van de grote bloedsomloop (armen en hoofd) komt via de bovenste holle
ader.
