This paper consists of eight (8) pages.
Examination rules
1. Upload your answer scripts in a single PDF file (answer scripts must not be password protected or
uploaded as “read only” files).
2. NO e-mailed scripts will be accepted. Please utilise the contingency link provided by your module
lecturer if you are unable to submit on the myExams platform.
3. Preview your submissions (answer scripts) to ensure legibility and that you have uploaded the correct
answer script file.
4. You are permitted to resubmit your answer scripts if your initial submission is unsatisfactory.
5. Incorrect file format and uncollated answer scripts will not be considered.
6. Incorrect answer scripts and/or submissions made on unofficial examination platforms (including the
Invigilator cellphone application) will not be marked and no opportunity will be granted for resubmission.
7. The mark awarded for an incomplete submission will be your final mark.
8. No opportunity for resubmission will be granted.
9. The mark awarded for an illegible scanned submission will be your final mark. No opportunity for
resubmission will be granted.
10. Only the last file uploaded and submitted will be marked.

11. Submissions will only be accepted from registered student accounts.
12. Students who have not utilised invigilation or proctoring tools will be deemed to have transgressed
Unisa’s examination rules and will have their marks withheld.
13. You have 48 hours from the day of your examination to upload your invigilator results from the
Invigilator App. Failure to do so will result in you being deemed not have utilised invigilation or proctoring
tools.
14. You must complete the online declaration of own work when submitting. Students suspected of
dishonest conduct during the examinations will be subjected to disciplinary processes. You may not
communicate with other students, or request assistance from other students during examinations.
Plagiarism is a violation of academic integrity, and students who do plagiarise or copy verbatim from
published work will be in violation of the Policy on Academic Integrity and the Student Disciplinary Code
and may be referred to disciplinary hearing. Unisa has zero tolerance for plagiarism and/or any other
forms of academic dishonesty.
15. You are given one hour to submit your answer scripts after the official examination time.
Submissions made after the official examination time will be rejected in accordance with the
examination regulations and will not be marked.
16. Non-adherence to the processes for uploading examination responses will not qualify you for any
special concessions or future assessments.
17. Queries that are beyond Unisa’s control include the following:
a. Personal network or service provider issues
b. Load shedding/limited space on personal computer
c. Crashed computer
d. Using a work computer that blocks access to myExams site (work firewall challenges)
e. Unlicensed software (e.g. licence expires during exams)
If you experience the above challenges, apply for an aegrotat and submit supporting evidence within
ten days of the examination session. You will not be able to apply for an aegrotat for a third examination
opportunity.

Instructions:
(1) Submit your answers as a single document in PDF. It is preferable for you to type your answers
(Font: Arial 12) and then convert your document to PDF for submission. However, if this is not
possible, you may also write your answers down and then scan them to a PDF file. In the latter case,
please write legibly.
(2) Start with a cover page stating the module code (TRL3708) and your student number.
(3) This should be followed by your answers to the questions.
(4) There is no need for a table of contents, introduction, conclusion or list of references (as was required
in your assignments). Simply answer the questions asked.
(5) Make sure that each question and sub-question is clearly numbered.
