Los periódicos tienen tres funciones: informar, opinar y entretener.
El receptor no presta la misma información a cada información.
Textos informativos: deben ser claros, fáciles de comprender y objetivos, pero también
atractivos para mantener el interés del lector. La noticia y el reportaje lo son.
Textos de opinión: incluyen opiniones con el fin de ofrecer la forma de pensar de una
persona concreta que provoque una valoración por parte del receptor. El editorial y el
artículo lo son.
Textos de entretenimiento: ofrecen algún pasatiempo.
LA ORGANIZACIÓN DE LA INFORMACIÓN
En un periódico, la organización de la información atiende básicamente a dos criterios:
la temática y la relevancia.
La temática son secciones.
La relevancia se puede determinar si una información es considerada más o menos
importante por elementos como los siguiente:
La portada, la página impar, el número de columnas y las imágenes.
La estructura de las noticias
Los textos de carácter informativo ofrecen primero los datos de mayor interés y,
después, los aspectos secundarios.
Una estructura de este tipo tendría estas partes:
Titular: es la información esencial.
Entradilla: es la parte inicial, en ella se sintetizan los datos básicos.
Cuerpo de la noticia: desarrolla y amplía la entradilla.
