INFORMACIÓN LA SOMBRA BENITO PÉREZ GALDOS 1870Benito Pérez Galdós (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 10 de mayo de
1843 – Madrid, 4 de enero de 1920).
Fue un escritor español y nominado al Premio Nobel en 1912.
Estudió en el Colegio de San Agustín de su ciudad y colaboró en
el periódico local El Ómnibus. Al terminar sus estudios, se
trasladó a Tenerife para estudiar el Bachiller en Artes, y
posteriormente se marchó a Madrid para estudiar Derecho.
En 1873 inició la publicación de la primera serie de los Episodios
Nacionales con Trafalgar. Su popularidad ante los lectores
durante la década de los 90 fue creciendo con su segunda serie
de los Episodios nacionales.
Galdós fue de los autores más prolíficos de su generación, tanto
en novela como en teatro, además de que fue cronista y político.
La sombra es una novela corta fantástica de Benito Pérez
publicada en 1870, presenta buenas ideas y está redactada
excelentemente. Es de planteamiento muy interesante. Y está
narrada en primera persona.
Relata el sufrimiento del doctor Anselmo, un hombre muy
estudioso y mayor que ha desperdiciado su vida, acosado por
una imaginación desbordante, ya que se imagina una vida que
pudo ser. Llega un momento que no sabe cuál es la vida real, la
que vivió o la que imaginó, y está obsesionado con un pasado de
celos.
