Climate disruption - PP- Climate change is caused by the people.
- The Kyoto Protocol was the first agreement to regulate the reduction of greenhouse
gas emissions but ended in 2020.
- Meanwhile, climate change is still happening and getting more serious.
- Co2 level is rising.
- Greenhouse gasses are rising.
- The temperature rose 1 degree overall since industrialization.
- In the Netherlands even 1.7 degrees.
- The average global sea surface temperature is rising as well.
- We are gaining a lot of energy as planet earth because of the
extra greenhouse gasses we are putting in the atmosphere
and most of it is stored in our oceans.
- Bad for:
- Sea culture
- Sea level
- The warmer the ocean the more it will
rise due to expansion and melting ice.
- Extremer weather events.
- More floods
- More storms

- More heatwaves
- More tipping points
- Tipping points are a point at which an ecosystem can no
longer cope with environmental change, and the ecosystem
suddenly shifts from one state to another.

the factors that could influence an ecosystem,
which is a big job.

- Gaining a better understanding of what affects
different ecosystems
- Reducing human impacts on ecosystems
- Regularly monitoring ecosystems to pick up on
any changes.
