After reflecting on your own performance you need to write an email to the
person who ran the business meeting and assess the effectiveness of the
speaking and listening skills in that business meeting.
Dear Mr Hussain (KFC Manager)
I am writing to inform you about the discussion we had at the recent meeting
about the issues that’s been increasing at KFC, what I noticed at the meeting and
how the employees did overall with you.
First of all most of the employees were at the meeting spoke clearly but I also
noticed a small amount of employees who seemed to shy at first but as the
discussion when on the small amount of employees started to open up and share
their ideas like the others so overall I think all the employees did well at the end.
But say this not all of the employees gave a feedback which was very
disappointing because all they did was sat down, listen but couldn’t provide any
feedback and at the end the strengths shown in the meeting were the confidence
to share ideas and thoughts which was not bad at all.
The second thing I wanted to discuss were some of the weaknesses I detected at
the meeting where employees speaking over each other’s when trying to get
their point through and employees a small amount sat down, laid back and
listened to what everyone had to say but weren’t bothered to in giving any
feedback all, but like I said there were definitely good strengths shown by the
employees during the meeting which I mentioned in the first paragraph. In my
opinion I think the their speaking skills exceeded their listening skill because the
employees kept on speaking over each other which made it hard for them to
listen rather taking turns when speaking and listening to the important
information the manager was providing like the ways the can make
improvements such advising the employees to sleep early the night before if
there’s a meeting for people who feel tired in the morning and having a table
providing snack in the meetings, coffee and other things that could give energy
meeting.
Third and lastly the employee the impressed me the most was Sarah because
she showed interest at all time, she stayed quite when the other employees
where speaking over each other, spoke when no one else was speaking, made
great eye contact, great body language and the list goes on because she was
amazing during the whole meeting and stood out easily because she was show a
great example of how the other employees should behave.
In my opinion I think you have a great team, but in order for them to be the best
you have to work with your team and help them and a way to do this is by
making Sarah a supervisor so that she can teach and guide the employees and
lead them to follow her great example.
You’re sincerely,
Eric Asare
