ATP = afbraak adenosinetrifosfaat
= ADP + P + energie (gebruik vr. processen afh. van cel vb. bewegen, spiercontractie, transport binnen cel)
ATP raakt op = nieuwe energie maken uit afbraak nutriënten pool (vetten, koolhydraten, eiwitten)
Bespreek de koolhydraatstofwisseling in drie fasen:
De meeste cellen vormen ATP en andere energierijke verbindingen via afbraak van koolhydraten.
1. Glycolyse:
Wat: afbraak van glucose tot pyrodruivenzuur
Waar: in cytoplasma (cytosol van de cel)
Winst in ATP: 2 moleculen ATP
Afvalstoffen: pyrodruivenzuur, melkzuur
Zuurstof nodig: neen (anaeroob)
Maar om melkzuur af te breken: wel O2 nodig
2. Pyrodruivenzuur cyclus / citroenzuurcyclus:
Wat: afbraak van pyrodruivenzuur in atomen koolstof, zuurstof en waterstof
Waar: in mitochondriën
Winst in ATP: 2 ATP
Afvalstoffen: CO2 en H-atomen (worden door co-enzymen aan elektronentransportsysteem overgedragen)
Zuurstof nodig: Ja (aeroob proces)
3. Elektronentransportsysteem: (verdere verwerking van H-atomen)
Wat: H20 aanmaken (transportketen voor elektronen die wordt gevormd door een reeks cytochromen)
Waar: mitochondriën (binnenste mitochondriale membraan)
Winst in ATP: 32 ATP
Afvalstof: H20
Zuurstof nodig: Ja
Totale winst uit afbraak 1 molecuul glucose: 36 ATP
