My dearest Armand,
I hope you will ever find a way to forgive me. I cannot live being this unhappy. I must leave and never
return. I hope you will understand why I did what I did. I cannot live near you or in any place that
people will know who I am and know about the disgrace that I and my family carry. I wish that it did
not have to work out like this, but we cannot change what has happened to us. Therefore I chose to
leave and grant you a life where no one has to know about me nor the baby. This way you are able to
move on.
Lately I have been feeling like our relationship was turning colder and more distant by the day. You
made a horrible accusation, saying that my part of the family is the reason why our son had a
different skin color. Even though it was painful to see you judge our child by the color of his skin, I
hope you can still have a happy life, even though we will not be in it.
I do hope you know that I loved you. Dearly. It has been the greatest experience to have met you and
to be with you for the past years. It has been my honor to watch you flourish as our baby entered the
world. I need you to know that I loved you, but despite my love for you, I cannot continue living here
feeling like this. I believe that my departure will grant you the opportunity to move on, like you’ve
never known me. I hope you will find someone new and you will get your happiness, together, like
we once did.
My mother and father should know, that I'm not proud of the decision I made. I just cannot carry on
living like this. I want you to tell my mother and father how grateful I am. For raising me and taking
me into their home like I was their own. I want you to let them know how much I love them and to
show them gratitude in every single way you are capable. I want you to tell them that I could not live
with them. I cannot bring myself to face anyone after this incident. I hope you will all find a way to
live your lives.
