deze samen (en groeit binnen een paar dagen dicht), zodat het bloed nu wel naar de longen
moet. De Ductus Venosus is het punt waarop de onderste holle ader samenkomt met de
navelstrengader. Het Foramen Ovale is de open verbinding tussen de linker- en
rechterboezem van het hart van een foetus. Direct na de geboorte stijgt de bloeddruk in de
linkerboezem sterk. Hierdoor wordt de klep van het Foramen Ovale blijvend dichtgedrukt.
