Etiologie
o Roken (pack years)
o Omgeving (asbest; fijnstof; ect)
Asbest komt in je longvliezen, geeft een ernstige vorm van longkanker  mesothelioom.
o Andere longaandoeningen (COPD, TBC)

Symptomen
o Hoesten
o Dyspnoe (benauwdheid)
o Haemoptoë (bloed ophoesten)
