OSCM overview
Academic year: 2022/2023
Period 1
E_TSCM_OSCM
Course Coordinator: Prof. dr. W.E.H. Dullaert
The ambition of the course Operations & Supply Chain Management is to assess and
manage the impact of key trends such as digitalization and increased environmental
concerns from an encompassing sustainability perspective.
• Introduce, analyze and improve the impact of operations and supply chain
strategies and decisions on profits, people and planet.
• Use real-life cases from published case studies, data and insights from SBE
research, industry testimonials
• Adopt a more strategic, managerial rather than technical, tactical perspective
• Ambition to inspire and better equip students further for their future career.
Important to note:
• Traditional written exam using pen and paper, non-graphical calculator, and
statistical tables.
• Students will not be asked to build spreadsheets during the exam, but they may
still get questions on how they would solve or model a specific problem using
the computer-based methods and tools discussed during the course.
• Guest lectures are included in the written exam (70% of the total grade)
