Haemophilia
By Julian G9

Haemophilia is a disease that causes you to bleed for longer,
this is due to the lack of as many clotting factors as healthy
humans. People without haemophilia have these clotting
factors that make one's blood sticky and stop the bleeding
faster. This is a huge problem for those who suffer from
haemophilia and have to be extra careful not to bleed. People
who have haemophilia tend to have skin that gets bruised
more, people with the disease also get internal bleeding that
can make joints tight and painful. There are two types of
haemophilia, haemophilia A and B. Haemophilia A is when a
person does not have any clotting factors. In haemophilia B,
a person is lacking a lot of clotting factors but all of them

A disadvantage of gene therapy for
haemophilia and other treatments is
that the new cells could be
“dropped off” at the wrong place
and could cause the cells to trigger

not want in your body. So it is a
risk you will have to decide on.
