Why I have chosen this Syllabus type:
I chose the multi-syllabus because this type of syllabus aims at speaking and listening skills.
Grammar-based lessons were not included in the first 5 hours of course plan as the student had
eight years of grammar lessons. If grammatical errors are made they will be checked and marked
right away or through the feedback phase. If the student continues to have grammatical errors, or
if there is a need for a grammar lesson in the remaining 15 hours paid for, the syllabus will be
modified to integrate a grammar lesson. Looking at the interview video and the questionnaire it is
clear that Alberto has a difficult time listening for gist and taking in vital information from the
speaker. Alberto also has lack of confidence in replying to questions i.e speaking, shy that his
pronunciation will be wrong. The multi-syllabus aims at speaking and listening and concentrates
on issues all through the course. Alberto is confident about his reading and writing capabilities,
although reading and writing tasks are included in the first five hours of the course to evaluate
Alberto level to read and write and to amend the syllabus if required.
Why I have Chosen the Topic(s) covered:
The chosen topics are the following as these are subjects that Alberto has interest and motivation
as mentioned in his interview and questionnaire. Alberto has good inspiration and good reasons
