4 typen receptoren:
Chemische receptoren:
o Gevoelig voor verandering van de chemische samenstelling rond cellen
Mechanische receptoren:
o Geprikkeld door een verandering van eigen celvorm
Temperatuurreceptoren:
o Registreren temperatuurveranderingen
Lichtreceptoren (fotosensoren)
o Licht is de prikkel voor deze zintuigcellen
Adequate prikkel = elk type receptor is gevoelig voor een bepaald soort prikkel

Reukslijmvlies → chemische receptoren
Ingeademde lucht → reukslijmvlies → chemische verbinding met trilharen → prikkel →
impuls → centrale zenuwstelsel
20.1.2 – Het oor
2 typen mechanische receptoren
Buitenoor = prikkel opvangende gedeelte
Middenoor = prikkelgeleidende gedeelte
Binnenoor = prikkel verwerkende gedeelte
Evenwichtszintuig = 3 halve cirkelvormige kanalen met vocht en kristallen
(gehoorsteenjes/otolieten)
