DNA schade controle punt (G2) door p53 en p21
SV40 large T antigen leidt tot ontdekking p53
• Het virale large T antigen coprecipiteert (en gaat dus interactie aan met) een eiwit van 53 kD =
p53
• p53 bewaakt de genetische huishouding van een cel en is daarmee een enorm belangrijk tumor
suppressor gen.
Verschillende virale oncogenen binden aan p53 en pRb en schakelen dit uit!!
