In this assignment, I am going to examine how businesses use social
media to promote their products and services and the implement social
media activities in businesses to meet requirements. The purpose of this
assignment is to provide various explanations on how businesses can use
social media to raise its profile and promote products and services.

Social media websites are a popular way for people to communicate and
share information with friends and family. People send a lot of time on
social media, and they give businesses opportunities to interact with
people, for example to promote their businesses, to encourage people to
visit their e-commerce site and buy, to provide customer service. The
main task of the assignment is to be familiar with social media for
personal use and in this unit, I will discover how it can be used in business
contexts.

In accordance with this assignment, i will explore different social media
websites, and the ways i which they can be used and the potential pitfalls
when using them for business purposes. In this assignment i will also
develop a plan to use social media strategies for businesses purposes to
achieve specific aims and objectives. Finally, I will collect the data
according to my research on the businesses and review the effectiveness
of the business efforts.

Lastly, through this assignment i will explain how to use social media for
business purposes effectively for employment in information technology
and in a variety of business sectors. Also, social media are closely linked
with web and mobile applications development which will be explained
through the report.

image
As times have passed , social media has grown vastly popular throughout the
globe and has unlocked many opportunities for people. To be able to share
information, along with ideas and interests through platforms such as twitter,
Facebook, instagram and many more.This has unfolded a whole new way for
businesses ti function and present their brand and ideas.

A popular brand like Nike, has people create posts for their social media page to
presents their brand to a wider audience with the fact that social media targets
all sorts of people and has become the next generations, which is what the
majority of people spend a lot of screen time on. A brand like Nike knowing this,
has allowed them to attract all sorts of people. And therefore , Nike can spark
ideas and beliefs into customers and consumers by creating posts that target
humans psychologically , into making them believe that they are an ethical
brand. Brands like Nike will deffinitely have experts in targeting the emotions of
consumers and will know that sort of posts will change a person’s belief towards
their brand.

An example of of this can be NIke announcing that they are releasing a
hoodie which is being made to ensure sustainable fabric and reduces
cardbon emissions. And another example of nike , creating a posts which
shows trainers that have been made with 50%recycled.

Social media is a platform that is used by the majority of the organisations that
authorises users to communicated, share information and produce web content.
According to a survey on the most popular social media platforms in 2022,
Facebook has 2.94 billion active users, which is a massive amount. Facebook has
major roles for instance it allows you to communicated with clients in regards to
buying and selling products using Facebook business and can also be utillised in
other ways.
