1/3 Hematologisch = leukemie, lymfoom

Verschil met volwassenen = geen maagkanker, longkanker, borstkanker.
Overeenkomst met volwassenen = leukemie, lymfoom.
Carcinomen zijn genetisch heel anders dan blastomen. Bij kinderen is het
vaker aangeboren en volwassenen komt het ook door externe factoren
(roken).

Kinderen hebben een veel groter genezingskans dan bij volwassenen omdat
kinderen gewoon meer kunnen hebben, zijn meer reversibel. Een volwassenen
kan de kinder-chemo dosis ook niet eens aan (geen lever die al 40 jaar alcohol
aan het verwerken is maar een groeiende lever in ontwikkeling).
B-symptomen = alarmsymptomen voor een maligniteit. Nachtzweten, onbedoeld
gewichtsverlies, koorts.
Pfeiffer = EBV virus: Epstein Barr virus, kissing disease. Koorts, keelpijn, afvallen,
nachtzweten.
Testis carcinoom past bij leukemie. Leukemie cellen hebben voorkeurslocatie in
het lijf: huid, CZS, testis. Kijken naar asymmetrie door verharde plekjes in de bal.
