Purpose of research
To improve outcomes for people using services.- By
looking at the current standards of care and seeing
how it can be improved so it is in the best interest for
the service users.
To inform policy and practice. - this can be done
through a report. If the service is bad it can be
improved through policies and more details on
practice via training for the staff.
To extend knowledge and understanding. - If there is
a pattern in health condition found by the PHE they
can see what the cause is by research and reduce the
chances of it. If there are new genetic disorders we
can do research to see how to treat or help those
living with it to cope.
