Voor het in en uitademen maak je je borstholte afwisselend groter en
kleiner. Doordat de longen met een vlies in de borstholte vastzitten,
worden je longen ook groter en kleiner. ( bron 2 )
Bij het vergroten en verkleinen van je borstkas werken je spieren, de
elasticiteit van je weefsels en de zwaartekracht samen.

1. De tussenribspieren en middenrif spieren trekken samen.
2. De ribben kantelen omhoog en het middenrif wordt plat

4. De lucht in je longen krijgt meer ruimte, daardoor neemt de

5. Lucht stroomt dan vanzelf naar binnen : je haalt adem
