Vervolg stap:
1) Data view: Invullen van code bij alle lege cellen. Je kunt het jezelf makkelijker maken
door gebruik te maken van ‘sort cases’ om de ontbrekende waarden sneller te vinden.
(zie errors/sort caces). Je ziet dat alle rijen met missing variabeles bovenaan
komen te staan Alle lege cellen geef je de naam 999.
2) Variable view: zoek naar de kolom ‘missing’ en klik op de variabele waarin jij
geïnteresseerd bent Er wordt een nieuw venster geopend als je op de drie puntjes
klikt of dubbelklikt. Vervolgens 999 specificeren als een discrete ontbrekende waarde.
Hierdoor weet SPPS dat de waarde 999 staat voor ‘missing observation’. Als je dan
opnieuw een frequentieverdelingstabel genereert, zie je bij missing je code staan en
niet meer system.
Histogram (MEAN, SD en variantie)
Als je van de histogram wil genereren, gebruik je de knoppen in deze volgorde:

Een histogram helpt ons te zien of de data normaal verdeeld is. Je kunt in de output van het
histogram zien wat het gemiddelde, de standaardafwijking en de ‘N’ is.
Sub-sample (select cases)
Eerst kijken naar sub-sample doe je als volgt:

Alles wat daar niet binnenvalt, wordt doorgestreept in scherm ‘data view’.
Het is belangrijk om een scatterplot te controleren voordat je hem runt en gaat interpreteren
(correlatiecoëfficiënt) vanwege extreme waardes en om te kijken of de relatie lineair is
(oftewel: of er een lineair verband is). Lineair verband is een vereiste voor een correlatie.
Anders is er geen correlatie.

Scatterplot genereren om te kijken of er een relatie is tussen twee variabelen doe je op de

Punten omhoog = positieve correlatie.
Punten omlaag = negatieve correlatie.
Als de lijn niet heel steil is, is de correlatie zwakker. Hoe steiler de lijn, hoe sterker de
correlatie.
Bivariate correlatie
Analyse correlate bivariate variabele kiezen waarin je geïnteresseerd bent

Je kunt de correlatiecoëfficiënt aflezen in de tabel. Het staat weergegeven als Pearson

Betrouwbaarheidsinterval toevoegen bij lineaire regressie tabellen doe je door op statistics te
klikken en daarna het vakje confidence intervals aan te klikken. Bij het vakje levels vul je het
percentage in.
B0 kun je aflezen in de tabel coefficients bij ongestandaarsiseerd constant.
B1 kun je aflezen in de tabel coefficients bij ongestandaarsiseerd variabele.
Lower/upper-bound Cl-interval kun je aflezen in coefficients tabel. Let op welke vraag ze
stellen (constant of variabele).
Hoe hoger het percentage, hoe breder het interval.
Change statistics and zero order statistics vakjes R2 change, part en partial aankruisen
