contrast two food retailers which I've explained before and I'll be evaluating how
they have met their social, ethical, environmental and corporate responsibilities.

Morrison's
The benefits of Morrison's meeting their social needs are that they can offer a
wide range of products and services for the society of people. The wide range of
products will enable consumers to choose a variety at affordable costs,
furthermore the additional services such as the improvement of technology with
an adjustment of self servicing machine has made shopping a whole lot easier as
it saves time and money. The increase of people who are willing to reside in
England from foreign countries does have a lot of impact on retailers in regards
of social needs. People who reside in England from foreign countries have
different traditional foods and culture and the benefit of this is that retails like
Morrison's offer a wide variety of ethnic cuisines to meet their needs this also
captures a large market of consumers due to the offering of ethnic food. All those
points I've explained above shows that Morrison's have met their social needs
because these are the real important factors which determines more profit and
sales. To say the least this has influence Morrison's to keep on achieving their
targets which they've set upon their selves to improve the social side of their
consumers. For example, one social change which Morrison's have met is to offer
a more variety of products to meet the consumer needs. People have a much
more great spending power due to the economic structure and more flexible
working which leads to more shopping, therefore Morrison's do offer luxury items
and products for the customers such as meat, wine, cheese, perfume and many
other luxury items.

McDonald's
The benefits of McDonald's for meeting their social needs are that they can offer
more healthy food and a better service without any problems for the society of
people. One of the criteria which McDonald's have met is to tackle their oil and
salt rate in their fast food because there's a high rate of obesity in the UK.
McDonald's have tackled this problem by offering whole grains, fruit and
vegetables contributed towards this goal in a number of markets. For example,
McDonald’s, the Company’s largest market, continued to offer English muffins
made with 8 grams of whole grain. In addition, fruit and vegetable offerings were
expanded in the U.S., Europe and Latin America. McDonald’s USA introduced
Cuties California Clementine’s as a Happy Meal option in November 2014.
McDonald’s Europe expanded fruit and vegetable giveaways in various countries.
