Processing: alle informatie (auditief, visueel, etc) wordt aan elkaar gelinkt en ook aan wat we al kennen
(herkenning) = MEMORY PROCESSING
- Dit geeft ons een idee van wat we binnen krijgen = perceptie
→ Integration of all the sensory information in the brain
Problemsolving: calculate the information so that the brain knows what to do and give a signal to the muscles
Info komt posterieur in de hersenen binnen (auditief, visueel,…) dit wordt verwerkt meer anterieur in de
hersenen om het frontale gedeelte te helpen om een output te genereren = circuits!

Thalamus zend info naar de cortex
Cortex verwerkt de info in verschillende levels (primary, secondary and tertiary)
- I. primary: registration
- II. secondary: processing
- III. Tertiary: integration
- III. Prefrontale cortex
- II. frontal cortex
- I. primary cortex
Frontal lobes hebben hulp nodig van andere structuren op te functioneren
- Limbic system: drive/motivation om te bewegen
o Als je honger hebt en er staat een bord met eten voor je heb je nog altijd een drive nodig om
te eten
- Striatal system: zorgt voor gedraging op een automatisch niveau
o basale ganglia
o energie nodig om op bepaalde zaken je meer te concentreren maar je kan op dezelfde
moment ook andere dingen doen, deze dingen gebeuren automatisch.
o Op deze manier is het mogelijk om dingen tegelijk te doen, waardoor behavior mogelijk is.
- Cerebellum = leren een bepaalde actie uit te voeren
o anticiperen op de omgeving om je actie eraan aan te passen
o Als je dit regelmatig doet kan het automatisch gebeuren = herhaling
