Op de eerste dag van de goede week herdenken Christenen
- De intocht van Jezus in Jeruzalem
- Mensen ontvangen hem als de Messias: ze zien in hem degene die
zichtbaar maakt wie God is.
- Hij is de ‘koning’ in het leven van deze mensen
2) Christelijke gebruiken op Palmzondag en symbolische betekenis ervan
Tijdens de Palmzondagviering:
- In onze kerken wordt een palm (buxus) gewijd.
- Als je thuis een takje achter het kruisbeeld steekt, zeg je: Jezus is de
koning in mijn leven. Naar zijn voorbeeld wil ik leven.
