Genderidentiteit (psychologisch gender)
o Transgender- en Gendernonconforme personen (TGNC) mensen die zichzelf
anders identificeren dan de gender die zij bij de geboorte horen te hebben of buiten
het binaire veld.
o Genderdysforie last die wordt veroorzaakt door het verschil van het aangewezen
geslacht en de genderidentiteit
Mentale gezondheid:
o Psychologische symptomen (angst/depressie)
o Algemene indicatoren (life-statisfaction/well-being)
Nu gaan we het hebben over de mentale gezondheid van de TGNC personen:
Hieruit is op te maken dat TGNC personen vaker last hebben van verschillende mentale klachten dan
normale gender-personen. Zeker ook in tijden van Corona is het meer geworden (70-79%)
Suïcidepogingen 32-50% van TGNC
Moet Genderdysforie worden beschouwd als een stoornis maar NIET meer onder de psychiatrische
condities. Gender incongruentie is opgenomen bij de biologische condities. Dus Genderdysforie
wordt in de ICD (medisch) niet meer beschouwd als een psychiatrische stoornis, maar dit wordt in de
DSM-V wel gedaan.
