Industriële revolutie is de periode 1750-1920 waarin steedsmeer industrie ontstond. Dit gebeurde vooral door de
uitvinding van de stoommachine.
doordat arbeiders lage lonen ontvingen moesten kinderen ook
mee naar de fabriek -> kinderarbeid was heel normaal
Regels voor betere arbeidsomstandigheden en hoger loon
kwamen in Europa niet van henzelf -> hebben arbeiders een
politieke strijd voor moeten voeren.
