3. Explain the title of the story. (At least 25 words)
There is a mysterious plague drives people to commit suicide by just looking at them.
There is not much known about the plague, only if you look at it you will go mad and
eventually take your own life. To live, you must be blindfolded and not be attempted to look at
them. The main character, Malorie, survived the plague by blindfolding herself and her
children. She has also birds in a box which begins to sing if they notice something strange.
That’s when she knows that there are creatures/danger around. At the end of the movie, when
she is safe, she frees the birds.




4. Who are the main characters? (At least 20 words per character)
- Malorie Hayes: She is a pregnant artist who witnesses her sister killing herself along with
most of the world. There are monsters who cause mental illness and for most people almost commit
suicide. She takes refuge inside a house with other survivors. In the house also people die. She stays
in the house for several years and raises her own child and the child of her past friend.
- Tom: He is also one of the survivors and gets a relationship with Malorie and together they
raise the two children.




5. Where does the story take place? (At least 25 words)
A lot happens in the film, so it takes place in many different places. Altogether the story
take place in a post-apocalyptic world. Most of the world population has died because of the
plague.
