De oxidatietrap van een atoom is een getal dat weergeeft hoeveel elektronen
een atoom meer of minder heeft dan in ongebonden toestand.
Redoxreactie:
Een redoxreactie is een reactie tussen atomen, moleculen en/of ionen waarbij
elektronen worden uitgewisseld (elektronenoverdracht).
Reductor: het deeltje dat een atoom bevat waarvan de oxidatietrap stijgt, de
reductor staat elektronen af aan de oxidator
Oxidator: het deeltje dat een atoom bevat waarvan de oxidatietrap daalt, de
oxidator neemt elektronen op van de reductor

EENVOUDIGE STOFFEN OT=0
EENATOMIGE STOFFEN OT=lading ion
NEUTRALE MOLECULE som OT=0
MEERATOMIGE IONEN som OT=lading ion

- Ongebonden elektronenparen horen bij betrokken atoom
- Bindende elektronenparen worden toegekend aan atoom met grootste EN-
waarde
